About YOU Jewellery

The concept of YOU Jewellery was born from a desire to create a more personal and intimate experience between the manufacturer and clientele. Giselle recognised the need for a more connected approach in working directly with her customers. As a proud Tasmanian, educated and trained locally, she came to appreciate that our region’s distinctiveness could play a key role in building a strong, authentic Tasmanian brand.

YOU Jewellery was designed around three core principles:

You

A piece of jewellery that is uniquely yours, made to last for generations. Well-crafted jewellery endures, often lasting for hundreds or even thousands of years.

Own

The piece is yours and yours alone, created specifically for you with your vision in mind.

Unique

A one-of-a-kind creation, shaped by your input and your ideas, making it a truly exclusive design that reflects your personal style.

The journey of creating your piece can be an incredibly rewarding experience, shared with loved ones, or even a deeply sentimental commitment to yourself. Whether it’s a meaningful keepsake, a family heirloom, or a special treat to celebrate you, each piece becomes an expression of who you are.

A word from Giselle,

“With over 35 years in the jewellery industry, my journey began with a four-year apprenticeship under a master jeweller. From there, I worked within the Heidelberg Gallery in Salamanca for a year, Darts Jewellers for 4 years and then Diamond World for over 25 years.

I have travelled across Australia, visiting remarkable jewellery establishments and forging connections with artisans and clients alike. Along the way, I recognised a growing need - not just for beautiful jewellery, but for a truly welcoming space where clients and makers collaborate to create something meaningful.

Jewellery is deeply personal, and I believe that every piece should tell a story. Whether it is an engagement ring, a bespoke heirloom, or a restoration of a cherished antique, my goal is to bring your vision to life while working within your budget.”

“I’ve worked with both large multi-store companies and small businesses to fulfil diverse design concepts, always prioritising craftsmanship and attention to detail. My qualifications in jewellery making, gemmology, diamond grading, and valuation further enhance my ability to guide clients through the process with confidence.” - Giselle Devereux
